Automotive Window Tint Markham: Ceramic Film for Daily Driving Comfort

Automotive window tint Markham starts with the right film, careful preparation, and a clean install. Professional ceramic window tint improves comfort, privacy, and UV protection inside your vehicle while reducing cabin heat and protecting interior surfaces from fading.

Whether you are tinting a daily-driven sedan, a family SUV, or a performance vehicle, our installs deliver consistent heat rejection, glare reduction, and a clean professional finish.

What It Does

Automotive Window Tint Built Around How You Actually Drive

Window tint is more than a visual finish. The right ceramic film reduces solar heat buildup in the cabin, blocks the ultraviolet exposure that fades interior surfaces over time, cuts the glare that strains your eyes on highway commutes, and adds a layer of privacy without darkening visibility.

We install Autobahn Performance Films ceramic products, engineered for high heat rejection, no signal interference, and long-term clarity. The right choice depends on the vehicle, which windows are being tinted, and what matters most to you.

Many builds combine more than one film. Ceramic i3 or Black Ceramic on side and rear windows paired with Air Ceramic on the windshield gives full-vehicle heat rejection without darkening the front.

Window by Window

Which Film Goes on Which Window

Window tint regulations in Ontario differ between front and rear windows. Here is how we approach film selection across the vehicle. For the law itself, see Section 73 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.

Windshield
Air Ceramic at 70% VLT is the standard choice. Reduces heat and UV exposure with minimal visual change, suited to drivers who feel the sun through the front glass on hot days.
Front Side Windows
Often paired with the windshield in Air Ceramic for consistency. Some clients select a slightly darker option for privacy at their own discretion. Enforcement and accepted darkness can vary, so the choice is yours to make with full information.
Rear Side Windows
Ceramic i3 or Black Ceramic at any VLT level. This is where most clients dial in privacy, heat rejection, and the visual look they want.
Rear Windshield
Same flexibility as rear side windows. Functional side mirrors must remain in place. Film selection here often matches the rear sides for a unified appearance.

We help every client land on the right combination during consultation, and we will be honest about any tradeoffs.

Benefits

What Window Tint Improves

Real, measurable benefits across comfort, protection, and daily driving experience.

Solar Heat Rejection

Reduces cabin heat buildup so the interior stays cooler and your air conditioning works less.

UV Protection

Blocks 99%+ of ultraviolet rays, helping protect skin and interior surfaces from long-term damage. For broader context, see Health Canada sun safety guidance.

Reduced Glare

Cuts harsh light from sun and oncoming headlights for clearer visibility and less eye strain.

Privacy & Security

Tinted rear windows reduce visibility into the vehicle, keeping contents and occupants less visible from outside.

Interior Preservation

Slows fading and material wear on seats, dashboards, and trim caused by prolonged sun exposure.

Glass Reinforcement

Window film adds a layer that helps hold tempered glass together in the event of impact or breakage.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Window Tinting Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most before installation.

Do you offer a warranty on your window tint? +

Yes. All of our window tint installations include a no-fade and no-colour-change warranty, ensuring the film maintains its appearance over time. We also include a one-time no-fault replacement, meaning if a tinted window is accidentally scratched or damaged, we will replace it once. No questions asked.

How long does window tint installation take? +

Most window tint installations take 1 to 3 hours, depending on the number of windows, the vehicle's make and model, and whether any existing film needs to be removed. We will confirm a precise time estimate when you drop your vehicle off.

What is safe to clean tinted windows with? +

Always use glass cleaners labeled tint-safe. Avoid ammonia-based or blue glass cleaners, as they can damage or discolor window film over time. For best results, use an ammonia-free cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth.

What is window film made of? +

Window film is a multi-layer polyester laminate designed to provide UV protection, heat rejection, glare reduction, and added privacy. We primarily install nano-ceramic window films, which outperform traditional dyed or metallic tints in clarity, comfort, and long-term durability.

What do the tint percentages mean? +

Tint percentages refer to Visible Light Transmission (VLT), the amount of visible light that passes through the glass. Lower percentages (such as 20%) appear darker, while higher percentages (such as 70%) are lighter or nearly clear. We help you select a VLT that balances comfort, appearance, and compliance with local regulations. For the law itself, see Ontario Highway Traffic Act, Section 73.

When can I roll my windows down after tinting? +

To allow the film to fully cure and bond to the glass, we recommend waiting 3 days in warm weather or 5 days in cooler conditions before rolling your windows down. This helps prevent shifting or edge damage during the curing process.

Is ceramic tint worth the upgrade? +

Yes. Ceramic window tint offers measurable advantages. It provides superior heat and infrared rejection, clearer visibility (especially at night), and contains no metal, so it will not interfere with GPS, Bluetooth, or cellular signals. It also offers a longer lifespan and improved scratch resistance compared to entry-level films. Many clients pair ceramic window tint with paint protection film to protect exterior surfaces from road debris while improving overall vehicle longevity.

Can you tint windshields or sunroofs? +

Yes, with appropriate film selection. For windshields, we offer Air Ceramic tint (70% VLT), which is nearly invisible while significantly reducing heat and UV exposure. Sunroofs and moonroofs can also be tinted to improve comfort and reduce glare. All installations are completed with Ontario regulations in mind.

Do you offer tinting for homes or offices? +

Yes. We also offer architectural window film for residential and commercial spaces to help reduce solar heat, glare, and interior fading. Contact us for a consultation tailored to your space and goals.
