Serving Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Stouffville, Toronto, Scarborough, North York, and the surrounding GTA by appointment only.

What It Is

Paint Protection Film: A Sacrificial Layer Between Your Paint and the Road

Paint protection film is a thick, optically clear self-healing polyurethane film that bonds to the exterior of your vehicle. Once installed, it forms an invisible barrier that absorbs rock chips, road debris, bug splatter, light scratches, and UV exposure so your factory paint underneath stays sealed and untouched.

PPF is not the same as a ceramic coating. Coatings enhance gloss and improve chemical resistance, but they do not absorb impact. PPF is the only product designed to physically take the damage before it reaches your paint. For drivers who want both, ceramic on top of PPF is the most complete combination.

For a deeper introduction to the film itself, see our complete guide to PPF.

Honest Comparison

PPF vs Ceramic Coating

These two products are not competitors. They solve different problems. Here is the honest side-by-side so you can decide which one fits how you actually drive, and whether the smartest move is one, the other, or both.

Important Fit Check

PPF Is Not the Right Answer for Every Vehicle

A clean PPF install starts with healthy paint. Failing clearcoat, deep scratches, peeling paint, rust, heavy stone damage already in the surface, and some repaints can all affect both the install quality and the safety of future removal. We will inspect the paint before recommending the film.

PPF also makes more sense on some vehicles than others. Highway-driven cars, daily commuters, premium and exotic vehicles, and long-term ownership benefit the most. Short-term low-kilometre leases on entry-level vehicles where cosmetic wear is acceptable may not justify the investment. The right answer is not always the biggest package. The right answer is the coverage that fits how the vehicle is actually used.

Real-World Proof

What PPF Looks Like After It Does Its Job

This is the part most people never see. The damaged film first, then the paint underneath after the film is removed. The film took the hit. The paint stayed sealed.

Step 1

The Film Took the Damage

This is the kind of impact that would normally mark the painted surface. In this case, the damage stayed in the film.

Step 2

The Paint Was Protected

Once the damaged film is removed, the original paint underneath is preserved. That is the value people are paying for.

Film can be removed and replaced. Original paint is much harder to restore perfectly. For the full story behind these clips, read Is PPF Worth It in the GTA?

Sub-Service Spotlight

Windshield PPF: UltraFit WinCrest EVO

Windshield protection film is the most overlooked piece of the protection conversation. With ADAS-equipped vehicles costing thousands to recalibrate after a windshield replacement, the math has shifted. We install UltraFit WinCrest EVO, a self-healing windshield film engineered to solve the chronic problems older windshield films could not.

Why We Chose WinCrest EVO

The biggest issue with first-generation windshield protection films was delamination. Bubbles forming at the edges, lifting from the glass, hazing under sunlight. WinCrest EVO was engineered specifically to solve those problems.

It is the first windshield protection film series with paint-protection-grade self-healing technology. Light scratches and surface abrasion close themselves up with heat from the sun. It rejects UV, reduces glare, and installs without a heat gun, which means a cleaner, more controlled install process.

Windshield PPF is a separate service from body PPF and can be added to any coverage package or installed on its own.

Product Spec

UltraFit WinCrest EVO

First windshield protection film series with self-healing technology.

  • Heat-gun-free installation for a cleaner, more controlled application process
  • Self-healing topcoat closes light scratches and surface abrasion with heat from the sun
  • Anti-delamination engineering solves the chronic edge-lift and bubbling failure mode
  • Premium UV rejection protects the cabin and interior from sun damage
  • Glare reduction for a more comfortable drive in direct sunlight
  • Crystal-clear clarity with no hazing or distortion from the moment of install
  • 6-month manufacturer warranty against peeling, fading, cracking, and delamination

Warranty does not cover normal wear including rock chip damage absorbed by the film or wiper-related wear, both of which are the film performing its job.

What PPF Protects Against

The Damage That Builds Quietly Over Time

GTA driving puts vehicles through a steady mix of damage that adds up faster than most people expect. PPF is engineered to take the hit before any of it reaches your paint.

Rock Chips

The most common and most expensive damage. Constant on highways like the 401, 404, 400, and DVP.

Winter Salt

Road salt and slush attack the lower panels, rocker areas, and bumpers through GTA winters.

UV Fade

Sustained sun exposure breaks down clearcoat and dulls finish, especially on horizontal panels.

Bug Splatter

Acidic bug residue etches into clearcoat if left untreated. Front-end paint takes the worst of it.

Bird Droppings & Sap

Both are acidic and bond to clearcoat fast. PPF takes the chemical hit, not your paint.

Light Scratches

Wash marring, swirl marks, and brush damage. Self-healing absorbs and recovers from most of it.

Parking Lot Damage

Door dings, cart contact, key scratches around handles, and edge contact in tight lots.

Construction Debris

Common GTA highway hazard. Loose gravel, asphalt, and debris from work zones at speed.

Film Options

Choose the Right Paint Protection Film for the Look You Want

Film choice is where protection becomes personal. The protection itself is the same across our finishes. What changes is how the film reads on your paint and what kind of statement the vehicle makes. Below are the three most common options we install.

Our Process

What Working With Us Looks Like

A controlled process built around honest consultation, surface inspection, careful prep, and meticulous install work.

1

Consultation & Coverage Planning

We talk through how you drive, how long you plan to keep the vehicle, and what matters to you. Then we recommend the coverage that fits, not the one with the biggest line item. Our guide on how to choose a PPF installer covers what to look for in any shop.

2

Surface Inspection & Decontamination

The vehicle is washed, decontaminated, and inspected under proper lighting. Healthy paint is essential for a clean install and a safe future removal. Any paint condition concerns are flagged before film touches the vehicle.

3

Precision Installation

Panels are wrapped with attention to edges, alignment, complex curves, and finish consistency. Precision edge wrapping, clean and tucked for a factory-like finish, is a signature of our install standard. Where panels need to be partially or fully removed for cleaner edge work, we plan for it. Our climate-controlled studio environment is built for the patience this work requires.

4

Final Inspection & Care Walkthrough

Before pickup, we inspect the finished install under controlled lighting and walk you through care, washing, and what to expect as the film settles. The film needs a short cure period before its first wash, and we make sure you know what to look for.

Frequently Asked Questions

What People Ask Before Booking

How long does paint protection film last?

Our paint protection films are backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty against defects such as yellowing, cracking, peeling, blistering, and delamination under normal use. In practice, premium self-healing PPF typically lasts 7 to 10 years or more depending on film, climate, sun exposure, and how the vehicle is washed and stored.

Will PPF damage my factory paint when it is removed?

When premium film is professionally installed on healthy factory paint and removed by an experienced installer, it comes off cleanly without damaging the paint underneath. Risk factors are damaged paint to begin with, cheap entry-level film, neglected film left on far past its lifespan, or improper removal technique.

Does PPF really self-heal?

Yes, within limits. The film's clear topcoat is engineered to absorb light swirl marks and surface scratches and return to its original shape with heat, from the sun or warm water. It is not designed to repair deep gouges or impact damage that pierces through the film.

Can I get a ceramic coating on top of PPF?

Yes. A ceramic coating designed for PPF surfaces enhances gloss, simplifies cleaning, and adds chemical resistance on top of the impact protection the film already provides. For drivers who want both physical protection and easy maintenance, this is the most complete combination.

How long does PPF installation take?

Most full frontal PPF installations take 2 to 3 days. Total coverage installations typically take 5 to 7 days depending on the vehicle, the panels involved, and any panel removal required. Smaller à-la-carte add-ons can usually be completed in 1 day. We give a clear timeline before booking and never rush the install.

Is PPF worth it on a leased vehicle?

Often yes, especially for highway-driven leases. A front-end package can help avoid stone chip damage that would otherwise show up at lease return. Whether it makes sense depends on lease term length, kilometres driven, and how exposed the vehicle is to highway debris. See our full take in Is PPF Worth It in the GTA?

Does PPF turn yellow over time?

Modern premium PPF resists yellowing for the life of the film. Older generations of paint protection film were prone to yellowing under UV exposure, but modern self-healing polyurethane films are engineered with UV stabilizers that hold clarity for years.

Do you also offer windshield protection film?

Yes. We install UltraFit WinCrest EVO windshield protection film, a self-healing windshield film engineered to resist delamination, reduce glare, and reject UV. It is a separate add-on from body PPF and can be combined with any coverage package.

What is your booking policy?

To secure materials, scheduling, and installation time, we require a 35% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. This deposit is applied toward your final invoice.

Do you offer an installation warranty?

Yes. We provide a 1-year installation warranty. If our workmanship results in lifting, peeling, or edge failure within that period, we address it appropriately. This is separate from the 10-year manufacturer warranty on the film itself.

Will my vehicle's edges be wrapped?

Yes. Edges are wrapped wherever possible, including hoods, doors, fenders, and trunks. Where wrapping is not feasible due to panel geometry or design, the film is precisely aligned to the panel edge for the cleanest possible finish.

How long should I wait before installing PPF on repainted panels?

Fresh paint must fully cure before film installation, typically 15 to 30 days depending on the paint system and application quality. Repainted panels require a signed waiver prior to installation.

Can I use a pressure washer or automatic car wash after PPF installation?

Wait at least 72 hours after installation before washing the vehicle so the film edges fully set and bond. After that, both pressure washing and touchless automatic car washes are fine. Avoid directing high-pressure water directly at film edges and avoid brush automatics.
